சினத்தை அடக்குதல் எங்ஙனம்?

A Zen student came to Bankei, the Zen Master and complained:

"Master!  I have an ungovernable temper.  How can I cure it?"

Bankei told him:

"You have something very strange!  Let me see now what you have!"

The other replied:

" Just now, I cannot show it to you!"

Bankei asked then:  "When can you show it to me?"

The student replied:  "It arises unexpectedly!"

Bankei then concluded:

"Then it must not be your own true nature.  If it were, you could show
it to me at any time.  When you were born, you did not have it.  And
your parents did not give it to you.  Think it over!"
